Hello,
I noticed that some 3-rd party plugins display User Interface elements
without user action.
What's more the user interface elements displayed by plugins
sometimes 'mimic' AmiBroker in that sense that they NOT make
clear that this particular element is NOT displayed by AMiBroker itself.
For example: displaying message box with "AMIBROKER" written in the CAPTION.
Such practices are NOT allowed because they mislead the users and may
suggest that particular UI elements belongs to AmiBroker when in fact it does not.
Rules are:
1. it is discouraged to display ANY user interface elements from the AFL plugins BUT....
2. if you have to display them you HAVE TO make sure that CAPTION of the window that
you are displaying clearly states PLUGIN NAME. You MUST NOT use "AMIBROKER" in the caption text.
Lets say that plugin WWTOOL.DLL displays message box. Then the caption must be set
to "WWTOOL PLUGIN".
Not following these rules will result in deactivation of the plugin in future versions of AmiBroker.
