Beyond your control up to a certain point, and that would be the
point at which they begin to interfere with your program or cause
problems for your user base I guess. (I am assuming that once that
point has been reached, and quite clearly it has not yet happened,
that you would at least issue a warning or caution about an offending
third-party plugin; and one might assume that you may have some
trademark leverage over any plugin that begins with the letters 'AB',
although maybe not.)
Once you sanction a plugin's introduction in this forum though, I
think you are going to have to put up with the occasional question
about them. You may try and wash your hands of the issue, but I doubt
it will just go away. In fact as more of these programs proliferate,
it's almost surely going to get worse.
As I say, although a rather minor thing, I thought you might like to
know about a plugin that changed the very way AB opened. I didn't
see anything about that in the plugin docs, so I was quite surprised.
Again, sorry for such a huge mistake.
