One thing I forgot to mention is, it can be optimized to re-use arrays for
plots, so that new arrays are not created for each new plot. This would
speed things up a lot, but it adds complexity.

You will notice that plotted arrays are Null unless there is a line. You
would just need to create a "array union" type function to combine many
plots, but also use more arrays when the lines would overlap. This is an
exercise left for anyone motivated enough to try.
