Restarting AB did not help the situation but restarting my computer did
cure the problem. Sorry for any distraction.
As some further sharing on the new Refill capability, I updated all of
my tickers in my RT application, some 1050 of them. It took
approximately 6-7 hours to complete this with a timed interval per
ticker of around 30 seconds. (At 1 minute per two tickers, this should
have taken 8.75 hours.) I let this run over night, so I am not sure the
exact completion time. I found the next morning that my memory "was
used up". I have 1028M RAM and the performance stats showed that I had
some 21,000 left, with virtual memory size having been automatically
increased by XPPro. I looked at many of the tickers and they had
seemingly all be updated back to April 7th.
I clicked SAVE and it took some 15 minutes for the save operation to
complete, seemingly quite slow. This probably had to do with the
decreased memory (?).
I will time things tonight and see how fast updating one day's worth of
data will be.
I now have most of my 1050 tickers with large gaps in them and I wonder
if there is a way to purge my computer of the data files that extend
back, sporatically, for around 4 to 6 months. With this new capability
in the dll, it is now possible to build up "well-filled" data, but the
old data can not be filled in and is just "taking up space". Is there
an AFL or script based way to do this? I never paid much attention to
the messages on holes, but I need to know now. Any help appreciated but
I will search the message archives.
Anyone else have any experience with updating lots of tickers?

Ken,
I have no problems with new eSignal plugin. Did you try to re-start
AmiBroker?
Also which connection does cause problem ? - click on plugin window to
find out.
