I asked TJ a while back what info gets stored in which files - 
here is his response:

filesbroker.master - symbol (stock) table for quick loading - can be 
deletedbecause it is recreatedfrom stock files inside A-Z 0-9 
subfolders,broker.watch - real-time quote window ticker 
list,broker.workspace - database settings, 
sectors/industry/group/market/watchlist names, intraday settings, 
advance/decline information, etcYou can backup and restore them all, it 
is not advised to modify themindividually.
