(in some old code or doxs maybe still ABtoolInit() is 

written. All ABtool functions start with the prefix 
"xx").

  Stewart, the reason must be something else.
  BTW it is ABtoolInit() not  ABinit().
  ABtoolInit() clears all objects, so after this 
  your
  table is no more available in memory.

    I figured out the problem, it's working now. 
    The changes don't take affect unless I reload AB.
    (I thought since I'm using ABinit() that I 
    don't need to reload).
