Yes, I am using LiveCharts right now and there the little pulldown in AmiQUote where one selects "1 Min," "3 Min,"..."Daily (EOD)." I was thinking that if this setting were out-of-sync with the base time interval of the database to which the data was being imported an "Are you sure?" box could pop-up. Additionally, how does Ami handle a selected interval? If the interval selected is 5' and the base data is 1' is it just as fast as if the base interval is 5 min.? I am tentative to go to one database also because of the following calculations: Est. #tickers: 5' (600), 1' (200)Bytes/day/ticker: 5' (2,350), 1' (11,700)If total 600 ticker list saved for one year @ 1' intervals: 1.4 GBIf 600 tickers saved @ 5' & 200 tickers saved @ 1' intervals: 650 MB Hard drive space is pretty cheap, but since I run Ami on my lapt
op I'd rather be conservative and not save the data I'll never use. If I had an 80GB drive, I would definitely move to the lower timeframe, but until then...--- On Fri 05/16, Tomasz Janeczko < amibroker@xxxxxx > wrote:From: Tomasz Janeczko [mailto: amibroker@xxxxxx]To: amibroker@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxDate: Fri, 16 May 2003 09:49:06 +0200Subject: Re: [amibroker] A bad importHello,If you want to delete all quotes from all symbolsyou can close AmiBroker and delete ALL data filesinside a-z and 0-9 directories, but just leave broker.master and broker.workspacefor list of symbols and categories.By the way it would be much easier for you justto have 1-minute database. You can select any intraday viewinginterval from such database. As for your request: do you mean imports from Quote.com?I am asking because in general way it is a bit tricky toknow what interval is becaus
e light traded some symbols may have missing bars so the interval may be not constant.Best regards,Tomasz Janeczkoamibroker.com----- Original Message ----- From: "rlb21079" To: Sent: Friday, May 16, 2003 7:21 AMSubject: [amibroker] A bad import> I am running three database - EOD, 5 min. & 1 min. intervals.> > The 5' & 1' have the same tickers and I accidentally imported 1' data > into the 5' database.
