<SPAN
class=108135913-13052003>Tomasz,
Does
this mean that to ensure your custom indicator is saved that you must

A)
copy it to both instances of open AB
<SPAN
class=108135913-13052003>or.....
B)
close the instance with the new indicator LAST.....
<SPAN
class=108135913-13052003>
This
has been a source of confusion for me as well

Jayson

[amibroker] Losing window changesHello, Custom indicators
are saved in broker.charts file that is *shared* amonginstances.That's
why the last saved copy overwrites previous saves. To have
independent copies you can install into 2 locationsor you can just create a
new shortcut with different "Start In" propertly.AmiBroker will always look
into broker.charts file located in "Start In"directoryso you can create
multiple directories for different instances and they willnot share settings
if "start in" property of 2 (or more) different shortcutstoAmiBroker
will be different. Best regards,Tomasz

AMSubject: RE: [amibroker] Losing window changesSorry forgot to say
that I save the layout. When I re-open later to thatdatabase the indicator
panel is there, just the empty and the IB windowformula is empty. So it is
the formula that is not being saved. Cheers,Graham<A

AMTo: AB yahoo groupSubject: [amibroker] Losing window changesDuring
trading hours I have AB open for the intraday and the EOD databases.I have
found that any changes made to the indicator windows made in thefirst one
closed are lost. This includes any formula in the IB windows, namechanges
etc. Quite often a new indicator I have added will be totallyblanked out due
to the formula disappearing, and the name reverts back to anold name I had
deleted, mostly one of the built in examples that come withAB. I have learnt
to always save new formula to an afl file as I need toreload it and rename
it in the IB window.Does anyone else experience this, or do I just have a
setting incorrectlyset, or doing something wrong.Asking the group before
I approach Tomasz. Cheers,Graham<A
