Hello,
If you don't want to use "auto-add" feature
then you have to add symbol by yourself.
That's fine - I have a restricted list but the updates list has all ASX
day data - so I don't want auto-add and have purposely turned it
off.
AAC symbol has to be
entered without any leading nor trailing space even if ASCII
file
contains trailing spaces because these spaces are
REMOVED during import.
FYI:
I took the line
AAC
,030428,0.930,0.950,0.930,0.950,106803,0
and imported without
problems to the database that had 'AAC' symbol
present.
Well, this I cannot do - heavens knows why?
Did you have auto-add ticked - even though the stock was
present?
If so, did it make a duplicate entry?
Arthur

Just some thoughts
Are there spaces between the ticker symbol and the first comma as appears in the email here? If so this could be the problem, you would need to remove them.
Why have you unticked the add new stocks? If your list contains new stocks they will not be included?
Cheers,
Graham

Subject: [amibroker] import EOD errors
I'm trying to import some EOD data using the import wizard.
I have data for about 200 stock but the list contains some 20,000 quotes - so I have unticked the option to automatically add new stock.
When I run the import - I get a bunch or errors and the log shows "this stock/ticker does not exist in the database" for every tick - even though it does - and none of the EOD data gets updated.
The form of the data is below.
AAC ,030428,0.930,0.950,0.930,0.950,106803,0
Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this doesn't import correctly?
Arthur
