Hello,

No, AMiBroker accepts *all* possible variants (with and
without separator):

YYMMDD
YYYYMMDD
YY/MM/DD
YY-MM-DD
MM/DD/YY
MM-DD-YYYY
MMDDYY
MMDDYYYY
DDMMYYYY
DD/MM/YYYY
DD-MM-YYYY

and many more..

If a date field was a problem you would get "invalid date"
error instead.

  Hi,
I think it has todo with the date format; IMHO AB
  expects
  the year,month,day be seperated
  by a seperator char.
If this is indeed true (I had the same problem last
  year,
and haven't checked since), then you need to preprocess

the file by another utility (for
  example Excel) and convert
  the dates appropriately and <FONT
  face=Arial>import the converted file.

I'm trying to import some EOD data using the import
wizard.I have data for about 200 stock but the list contains some
20,000 quotes - so I have unticked the option to automatically add new
stock. When I run the import - I get a bunch or errors and the log
shows "this stock/ticker does not exist in the database" for every tick -
even though it does - and none of the EOD data gets updated. The form
    of the data is below.AAC

suggestions as to why this doesn't import
correctly?Arthur
