AB directory: AFAIK there is no way to determine this via OLE/Com. If the
language you are using supports api calls then you can search for the path in
the registry.

the DB eod: Take a symbol (IBM, GE) and retrieve some
quotes for it. Then traverse the quotes comparing adjacent date/times. If the
diff is 1 day then it is EOD.
