I found I was getting too confused with indicators/explorations I was
currently using and what I was developing, also ones I no longer used. All
lumped together with the example ones that come with AB install.
I have broken this out into several folders 1 for the AB install ones,
1 that I currently use, 1 for development, and 1 for old/unused.
I also create a special folder if I am doing a larger development of
indicators/explorations.
Another folder for the lists for watchlist import/export.
It can take some time to get organized, but worth it.

you want to be. I've created 4 folders under the AFL parent folder, one for
each of the 4 types of AFL files that can be created (indicators,
commentaries, systems, and explorations). Under the main Amibroker folder, I created
a subfolder called Test Reports, where I save all my reports. I'm sure others
on this board do things differently. But with Amibroker, you can do whatever
fits your style. It doesn't matter.
