Steve,

You either installed AB twice or the shortcut icon you are using to launch
AmiBroker has incorrect (or empty) "Start in" property.
Right click on shortcut and choose Properties.
Make sure that "Start In" is set to 
"C:\Program Files\AmiBroker\"
