What you say is not true for AmiBroker itself.. It is 
true only for QUOTE TRACKER (and QT plugin of course)
The idea how AmiBroker handles things is that it is not linked 
to any particular time zone.
Basically you can set it up as you prefer. Recommeded setup is 
that all times are according
to your local time zone. 
When we go to the File->Database Settings->Intraday 
settings you will see
the option to set time shift and start/end time of 
trading.
These are all relative to your LOCAL time zone.
 
QuoteTracker is an exception. QuoteTracker is 
a designed so its HTTP server (<A 
href="">http://www.quotetracker.com/qtserver.htm)
reports all times according to US EST time REGARDLESS of any 
settings in QuoteTracker.

When using any OTHER data source (like eSignal for example) 
you specify time shift just between GMT (because eSignal internally uses 
universal time)
and your local time zone and that's 
all.
