I have not previously experimented with AlertIf, but after the following
test, I have a question:
I altered the AlertIf code that came in the help file to make frequent buys
and sells. I enabled all AlterIf statements except the email.
Sure enough, I began getting beeps and the calculator being displayed quite
frequently.
Here is my observation/question: when all programs are minimized (so the
desktop is showing), no beeps and no calculator is alerted. But when the
program is displayed, the alerts come in fast and furious.
Can the audible or visual alerts be triggered if AB is minimized?? It seems
not, but I would like confirmation. This means that you can not be working
in another application??

Well, I answered my own question. Keep AB open (not minimized) but put my
other application over it full screen and the beeps and calc display will
then show up. I can work on other stuff and still make trades that yield
high intraday profits. I can even use the calculator to calculate
accumulating profits. :-)) What a great world with AB.... :-))))))

Sorry to ramble here but maybe this little discourse will help someone who,
like me, has not played with the Alert function.
