I am still trying to understand how various parts of Amibroker work with Alerts.
You can see my Alert function in the AFL code and the resulting scan. My scan shows I shorted at 1:04pm on 7/16. Yet in my ALERTS window, you can see the same Sell Alerts popping up every minute. I know this is coming fromIndicator Builder in the second pane which contains the same code and sameAFL file as shown in AA.
If I run another scan, I will not get the 1:41 to 1:44 "sell stock" lines that show in the Alert Output window.
Also, I thought I had coded the Alert function (1+2+4+8) to not give duplicate signals. So why am I getting the Alerts in the Alert Output?
Also look at the trade arrows. The first two red arrows correctly show my short at 1:04pm. But why do I get another set of short arrows followed by cover/buy arrows when neither shows in my Scan or Alert Output window?
Thanks for helping me understand this. I am sure others will come across this puzzle at one time or another.
