Geoff:

Does this work in conjunction with the datasource plugins like QP2? In
other words, whatever way QP2 classifies its sectors, industries, etc., do your
files redirect the way the QP2 plugin sorts these out? If not, how are the data
updated at end of day? By downloading Yahoo data using Amiquote? Thanks.

Subject: [amibroker] Updating an Ami ASX
Database for the new S&P GICS Indices

Hi,

Attached are the files for updating Ami for
GICS.

Steps to update an Ami database are

1. Shutdown Ami if running and backup all Ami
files.
2. Delete broker.workspace
3. Replace broker.sectors and broker.industries
with the attached files
4. Open Ami
5. Save the industries.csv file
somewhere
6. Open SetUpIndustries.js with notepad and
change the name of the filename to match the name chosen in step
5
7. Go Start - Run - SetUpIndustries
8. Ensure XEJ XMJ NNJ XDJ XHJ XFJ XIJ XTJ XUJ and
XXJ are all flagged as industries within Ami
9. Save the database

Hope this is useful.

Geoff

Geoff I have this file.  I picked it up from somewhere,
but can't remember where.  It is a couple of weeks old but has most of
the codes in it - probably the latest few missing.I have been trying to
get the info into a page but it gets so large it is not suitable for
viewing.  I will get something better soon.Hope this will helpin
the meantime.regardsMickAt 05:04 PM 08-06-2002 +1000,
