Hi all,
I just sent this to ActiveTrader Magazine.I hope I
haven't stepped out of line and that I haven't said anything that I should not
have said.
I sent this with the intention of giving Amibroker
more exposure and also to get support from ActiveTrader for us newbies trying to
understand and implement Amibroker code.

I have been reading Trading Systems That Work by
Thomas Stridsman. He has some interesting ideas about how to analyze a trading
system. Some of his ideas appear in ActiveTrader Magazine. Most of his studies
use Tradestation and Excel for his analysis. I should probably start a new
thread for this so I will send this message now.

How about adding Amibroker code for trading
systems just like you do for Tradestation or Metastock. If not practical toadd
this in print version of magazine, maybe just a footnote in magazine and then
include the Amibroker code on your website. You could ask for someone from
Amibroker Usergroup at <A

make magazine submisions or to do the code conversion for you. I wish you could
get Thomas Stridsman involved, or at least convert the code from some of his
articles into Amibroker code.
Since Amibroker is more affordable than most
programs, it is likely that the number Amibroker users will reach or surpass the
number of users for Metastock and Tradstation. Your support of Amibroker would
appeal to a much larger audience. Your subscribership would likely rise
substantially also.
Your panel of experts could also submit a wishlist
to the author of Amibroker, Thomasz Janeczko. You will find that he is
continually upgrading the program and is very accomodating with
implementing many of the users wishes. Your March 2002 issue included
a review of V3.8. Several beta versions have come
out since then and Version 4.0 with real time capabilities using datafrom
Esignal is due to come out any day now. This is definitely a program you should
be watching closely.
I've been buying Active Trader magazine from news
stand since January. I like it! I think I will subscribe soon even if you don't
cover Amibroker in the near future. I'd be a "happy camper" if you
did.
