Well here is another suggestion, and maybe you will find enough merit in itto possible include it in future versions of AB.
It concerns the portfolio, after all this software is supposed to be used by people who trade shares, and the portfolio management - which have not had any attention as far as I know, is a very basic but important part of their trading experience, probably more important for the trader than what newAFL and Visual Basic is to the developers.
I suspect that there are only a few traders here based on the technical feed back you receive all the time - never any news on somebody's new made fortune or just lost savings....
Well be it as it may, I want to suggest further development with regards tothe portfolio manager. It is as follows:
1.. I want to set up one or more portfolio's and name them ( this can already be done, so great..)
2.. I want each portfolio to be directly linked to the ticker list, wherethe name of each portfolio will be displayed for choice.
3.. Upon the choice of a particular name e.g. "My Portfolio", a simple graph must be shown that shows the performance of the specific portfolio.
4.. Once this is in place it make's things easier to balance certain portfolios and compare them to pre-determined growth goals and apply certain moving average techniques to it in order to keep the growth or decline in check with the investor's stock strategy
Currently I'm using Excel to do this and it is really a nice and I think handy feature. What do you think ???
Kind regards
