Tomasz, let me elaborate on the sorting for this report. I would
rather see a required double click to change the sorted order...here
is why.
initial sort N % profit: ok
Say I then want to look at the top RAR column...when I click on RAR I
get ascending which drastically changes the appearence of all the
columns displayed. Then I have to click on RAR again to get back to
a display that is similar to the initial profit descending display.
This sudden flip in the columns and back again destroys my visual
picture continuity of the overall flavor of the results table.
I would much prefer to have a single click select the desired column
WITHOUT changing the sort order. On those rare occasions when I do
want to see the inverted order, a double click on the column head
would be no problem.
After years of doing optimizations I have found the interplay of the
various data columns is important to selecting the appropriate opt
variable. Many times it is NOT the greatest % profit choice but
rather a compromise with # of trades, Mdd, profit factor. avgW/avgLoss
which can be determined by viewing the "overall picture" of the
results.
Of course the data could be exported to Excel and a 3d contour map
drawn, but with experience that is not necessary if the sort order of
the columns is not jumping around.
Cheers
