Thank you Tomasz.

Would it be possible to include 'more-space' in the access layer so that us
programmers(hacks) can expose more information about a particular security
(i.e. QP fundamental data)? This way it wouldn't be data vendor specific,
but it would allow for more information if the data vendor provides it.
Thanks again for your tremendous support.

Dear Peter and Steve,
I have just read your comments on AmiBroker on QP2 list
and wish to thank you for such kind words.
Now to the point:

Yes I know this is very weak point and this will be improved soon.
Frankly speaking I have an idea to combine AmiQuote and AmiFeed into one
program so one can use custom stock lists for 3 different data sources
(Yahoo, QP2, TC2000)

file).

Either this will be implemented or AmiFeed will be eventually included in
AmiQuote
with its handling of custom stock lists.

Well... originally AmiBroker was designed to handle ANY exchange in the
world.
Therefore it had to have its own database system and the whole stuff
with ASCII/Metastock import.
Integrating with QP (or any other data source) simply narrows the use of the
program
to particular market(s).
Now about the future: as I find it myself that it would be useful to utilise
feeds
like QP2/TC2000 in more integrated manner I just want to change the way
the data is handled by the AmiBroker and this is also connected with the
real-time/intraday]
support I plan to include in the future.
Here are my plans:
I will create an abstract data access layer that will expose single
interface to AmiBroker.
The abstract data access layer will be able to "talk" with multiple content
provides
enabling direct quote feed from multiple sources including standard
AmiBroker database,
QP2, TC2000, Quote.com (Realtime feed), etc...
I will also publish an SDK that will enable anyone to write data provider
interface for AmiBroker
for any other feeds.
In this way I will maintain ability to handle any exchange in the world
while giving you instant
data feed (without import).
> PS Quotes Plus has ALLOT of fundamental data that AmiBroker does not take
> advantage of ... are there any plans on accessing this information?
Unfortunatelly their COM interface is somewhat limited to their old-style
DLLs
and the developer documentation is very weak (OK, it is not that bad, but
I am used to MSDN which is truly great :-))
