Subject: [amibroker] AmiBroker Feature
Suggestion
Had problems sending to your website email suggestion box,
so here it is.........Suggested enhancements for
Amibroker:Add the ability to mark price sheets with a flag (pointer)
within a GURU commentary as follows:New Reserved
Variables: upflag - causes the drawing of an up pointing flag on
a price chart downflag - causes the drawing of a down pointing flag
on a price chartNew Functions: flagcolor(colorvalue) -
sets the current flag draw color to value flagfilled(true/false) -
sets the flag to draw as filled or hollowIn the same way that buy/sell
short/cover work, setting upflag or downflag places an up/down flag on the
price chartusing the current color setting and fill setting. This
will allow annotations of price charts with markers other than buy/sell
short/cover so one could mark points of interest in the chart (ex. RSI crosses
50, CMF crosses midpoint,a stopped traded, etc.).Using the
color/fill settings you could show flags of any color/fill (ex. yellow solid
flag for MACD crosses above zeroline, yellow hollow flag for MACD crosses
below zero line).Using these various flags, a chart can be markedat
points denoting events other than buy/sell short/cover.Possible
extension to this:Additional New Function:
flagshape(shapevalue) - sets the shape of the current flag to shapevalue (can
be narrow arrow, wide arrow, standard arrow, circle, square,
triangle, diamond, X-cross, etc.)It would seem the code that
generates the current flag in the GURU can be reused to perform many of these
new functions in Amibroker.Love this program. Would also love to
see a triple smooth exp moving avg, like the T3 for example (not the TRIX
indicator). Someone suggested a 'data' pane that shows the numeric
values of some selected indicators. That would be nice
too.-BobYour
