How does ZigZag and Peak/Trough work ?

I had tested the Zig function and I've seen, that the zig lines had 
other valus, when i've imported new quotes.

And I've seen, that the peak function allways shows the correct 
values, after importing new quotes.

How does ZigZag and Peak/Trough work ?
