Is it just me but, EVERYONE uses the DJ Industrials as a gauge of
historic stock prices.
within the last two years, xx% of the index has been removed, flushed,
recycled.
BAC was added in Feb 2008 for Jiminy Cricket sakes...
DJIN is an apples to cumquats Index when looking longer than the last
recalculation/reweighing/molestation/etc..
The only folks that should be using the Dow 30 are those that are
elastic and long the Index.
What I would find humorous, would be the names of hubris tossed out of
the Index, like,
Polaroid and International Harvester. Didn't IH go bust and become
Navistar (NAV)
oh too funny, a bankrupt company's stock symbol is NAV.
