We haven't always had hedge funds handling billions of dollars of investor capital and if a few of the larger funds planned an attack/short sale on a single equity, it is going to drive it down. If those same funds had already shorted a few million shares, they are going to profit tremendously and to hell with the employees, world economy or mom and pop investors. All I want to see is the bright light of open information lit up on these funds so we can all base our decisions on the most complete information possible. I don't oppose short sales, I do them every month. I oppose market changing tactics which are hidden from the public.
Good luck tomorrow everyone

Care to explain how they actually accomplish this ?
