Phil:
Sorry, this isn't new, it isn;t unique this President
or Administration nor is it a conervative/ liberal
thing.
Nor is it an impeachable act.
This has happened countless times in the past.
You would do well to do a bit of research and not just
read what someone wrote in an article because they
need to draw readership their way.
Before anyone flaunts the credentials of the people
cited in this article, I can sadly say I have
personally been one of the people involved in more
than five of these types of forced buyouts or
marriages or fire sales. You can be mad, you can be
upset, you can sign anything you want, but it is
legal, it's happened countless times in the past and
it will happen countless times in the future.
The people at Bear Stearns that made these portfolio
decisions should go to jail. I don't see that in these
article, because they are basically written
by the pro
hedge fund world.
I totally disagree with the Fed's recent policies--I
think interest rates should be much higher. And I
would have simply let BS fail--and the next three that
are now in the pipeline...But to waste your breath
quoting people saying this is an impeachable act
is...wasting everyone's time. Look into your history
behind the scenes and you'll find lots of these
shotgun marriages with the downsides limited to the
new owner. I believe it's called precedent...
Let's start a new petition: Alan Greenspan should be
called sccountable for starting this spirally
inflation. BS and other institutions that thought up
these ludicrous interest only and sub-prime loans
should be held accountable. The real crooks should pay
with jail time--share holder money was lost, entirely.
THAT is the pity [although they should have seen some
of this coming].
Reading and signing this
drivel is a waste of time.
Instead, demand corporate responsibility for corporate
actions. No one wants to accept responsibility in this
country. Hang the S.O.B.s...
But what do I know?
