How many of you are so consumed with being part of the crowd that you miss the real opportunities that this profession has to offer.  Traders become myopic in their outlook and want to know how to trade the e-mini or the mini Dow.  Why?  Because it is fashionable and there are a lot of traders to discuss their wins and losses with.  Because there are groups that stress these highly publicized trading vehicles.  Nobody wants to look at the mundane and you don't see a lot of posts on the grains or meats.

Here is thought for you.  If you had an account worth $3500 at the beginning of last year that account would be worth $135,000 today if you would have bought a 1 lot in each of the grains. Beans, meal, wheat and corn.  A 10 lot in each would have made you a millionaire.  How many of you made over $100,000 trading the e-mini or the mini Dow last year?  A 10 lot in beans would be worth $500,000 today.  These opportunities don't come along every year, but when they do you should be able to take advantage of them.

Hind sight is always 20/20 but being aware is an everyday thing.

Just on man's opinion,
