FXCM are a bunch of crooks and the company
is very well known for price manipulations through their platforms, attitudes
of the ‘dealers’ are very bad and not helpful. Their branch
in Guangzhou got shut down last year by the PRC police. You have been
forewarned. FXCM is the pits in spot FX trading, ands so is CMC. The only
good thing about FXCM is that this company is well funded in promotion and
marketing. Hence, you are able to see their logo on Bloomberg. Don’t
touch it with a 20-foot pole.
Have a good one

Not
just FXCM but all these dealers(?). How do you protect yourself from spread
going haywire? What is the insurance against event risk? If you have the
answers to these questions then as per most FX guys Oanda is the Rolls Royce of
FX shops. I differ though, I would only go for an exchange traded product where
I am not at the mercy of the one and only market-maker.
