Thanks Larry..........I would like to know how their seasonal gold perspectives work out.  In general I don't do much with options.

Thanks Again,

Ron

Hi Ron

They have their drawdowns, but overall they've helped me make money over the last 3 years.  They do a lot of work with seasonal spreads, and they have a service where they actually try to explain why a seasonal spread might work.  It gives me confidence to feel there might actually be a reason for a seasonal tendency, more than just a flip of the coin.

Larry,

Very good information.  Moore Research, as I recall they are well respected in the industry.  Have you found their seasonal work to be helpful and profitable as well?  I have seen some of their gold seasonal charts but I am not sure that they were complete or up to date as they were samples.
Comments appreciated.

Thanks very much for S&P information.

Regards,
Ron

Not exactly what you asked, but according to the folks at www.mrci.com (I'm a subscriber, otherwise have no interest), the June S&P500 futures contract has tended to close higher on or about June 5 than it closed on or about May 25 in 13 out of the last 15 years, with the average move net up 13.67 points.  Of course, past performance is no...blah blah blah.  Based in part on that past history, I cautiously went long around 2pm EDT yesterday (the 25th) although I'm quite nervous about it given the recent downfall both in the US as well as in global markets.  I'll have a pretty tight stop, but so far so good.

Anybody have and information on the typical Memorial Day week-end market behavior.  Such as, is the Tuesday after usually an up or down day?

From what I have studied about days of the week........Tuesdays are generally considered quite bullish.
