This is true, except at about every 10 minutes or so there is an update of
Futures in the ticker.
One can compare the CNBC cash prices with those in Qcharts, thus quickly
checking whether QCHARTS data stream is keeping up with the real time market
prices. If so desired, one can also get an estimated value of SPM or ESM by
adding the premium to the cash, and so another method to check if QCHARTS is
carrying updated data.
BTW, remember when the S&P premiums were 10, or 12, or higher? These days it
barely climbs above 3 or 4, usually at the start of trading in the new
quarterly S&P futures contracts.
