I have not read Gary Kaltbaum's book but do read his column on one of the
pay web sites. I like the way he thinks and writes which leads me to
conclude his book is probably pretty good.
A book with a technical analysis bent that is still accessible to a general
audience is Martin Zweig's Winning on Wall Street.
If you are just looking for a gift that will sharpen a kid's financial IQ, a
gift subscription to Kipliger's or Money magazine might fit the bill as well
or better than an investing primer.
