Don't forget the TC2000 mutuals funds program. At
$15.00/m ($10.00/m if you pay for a year and get one of their specials) it's
about 1/3rd the price of Fasttrack. I used Fasttrack for years and always
really disliked their (user unfriendly) Windows program. The only bad
thing that came from switching to TC2000 mutual funds was that Fasttrack kept
collecting my quarterly fee for 6 months after I cancelled, and absolutely
refused to admit the mistake and refund my money, even though I stopped
collecting their data the day I cancelled.
TC2000 mutual funds has a watchlist with 41 Fidelity Select
funds. Like the TC2000 stocks program, it's very user friendly,
a pleasure to use, and the mutual fund database has 8185 different funds.
It doesn't have Accutrack, but does have many different sorts and scans and you
can also program your own scans.
In TC2000 mutual funds, to measure performance over any
historical period you just hit C (for Custom Date Sort), put the crosshairs on a
point on the chart (example: FBIOX, the 2000 peak at 3-10-00), that places a
vertical bar at that point, you move the crosshairs to the end point (FBIOX, the
2002 low at 7-19-02), the window that pops up gives you the start and end dates
and the performance for that period: -65.48% ). You OK the window,
look over to the Fidelity Select watchlist on the left of the screen, and
if you have the columns set for it you'll see all the funds in the watchlist are
sorted by their performance over the period you just picked. Pretty
nifty!
They don't seem to advertise the mutual funds program very
much, it was apparently produced at the request of some of their customers...but
it's there and works very well.

Subject: [RT] Fidelity Sector Funds
Does somebody know of a source of data and software to
analyze it for Fidelity Sector funds? Something that would allow e.g.
measure the historical performance (ROC, etc) at past time as opposed to
theirs which allows to do it only for the current time (best performance.
for the last 1, 3, 6 mo...)
