We have around 800 members on this list so I don't think the list itself is
in any danger of dying out but with a slow market and shallow moves, there
is not a lot of excitement in the markets right now. (Of course this is
not necessarily true in the commodity arena). If anyone would like to
start a thread on a trading topic, please feel free to do so.
As to brokers, I was with Datek and after Ameritrade bought them, I was
going to move my two accounts there but the company called and asked me to
give them a chance, stating that they would keep the Datek policies intact
and they have mostly been good to their word on that. I get free level II
there and trades cost $10.99 for limit or market orders.
