I remain mostly long on selected equities with 50% cash and will remain so
until after the election, at which time I will be out and looking for
selected shorts. Unless we have another major terrorist event, I am
convinced the market will not tank until the election is past and that we
will not see more than a 1/4 pt increase in the Fed rate until that
time. Such an increase could be taken as a good sign as it would signal a
stronger economy even though I would guess a short term sell would result
immediately after such an increase is announced.
