[RT] Re: Systems for Swing or Position trading

-For me they were not useful because:
1. Sometimes esoteric. For example, with a chart and a data table
he might show something like "If you had invested when the yield of
the 30 year T bond fell x percent below the yield of the 10 year Note
by more than y percent for more than z weeks and the .......(I'm just
making this up because I don't remember the details). I'm just
trying to show that it was a lot of work and mostly retrospective.
Technical traders do the same thing when they look back over charts
and say "If I had bought when this or that happened it would have
been successful."
2. Low yields. If you have a $50,000,000 account, you're probably
not in a wealth building phase, but an asset protecting phase. So
low returns are okay if that avoids risk. But if your account is
$10,000, chances are you're still wanting growth. A return of 1 or 2
percent above the rate of inflation ins't enough.

Hope this helps.
