Dear Hugh,
Sorry I misunderstood your question. Fortunately or unfortunately I have a
bit of a Panic Disorder...which means that if it is running up a quick
$.25 and stalls, I am out of there. If it blows past the $.25 mark, I hang
in with a mental profit trailing stop.
If I do not see positive price volume action within 30 minutes of buying
it, I am gone. I also hate holding overnight unless of necessity.
With 1000 share lots and $10 commission, it works well for me...but it
certainly is not scientific. Even if you only scrape $200 per day [$0.20
on 1000 shares] it adds up by the end of the month.
I also check intraday CANSLIM Breakouts if I do not like the overnight
plate setting.
I am not in it for the kill because that makes me an investor...and that
is where my long term portfolio is.
