FWIW, I would consider an off-list response to such a question to be of
little or no value. The value is in asking the question and then getting
feedback and comments from a variety of actual users who may have different
points of view on the service provided. Better yet when a public response by
one poster generates point and counterpoint from other users.
If the list policy has been changed to prohibit public response, I would
suggest joining a trading list which does not prohibit public sharing of
vendor experiences.
