The only infallible law of trading.
At last , the Editor thinks he has found a fragment of the Holy Grail...
After all those systems, those many trading indicators, hordes of chart
patterns, a multitude of different charting types and endless quantities
of quant maths, at last we seem to have found an immutable law of
trading. For want of a better term, it is a Holy Grail, a piece of
information which always performs in the same direction.
Yes, folks it's a kind of Murphy's derivative Law of electronic trading.
As soon as your computer system hits a problem (whether it's routing,
networking, ISV, or at the exchange itself, etc.), you can rest assured
the market will immediately go in the opposite direction to your trades.
Yeah, pity you can't profit from it, but hey at least we feel we have
proof at last of a market that always goes the same way with a
correlation ominously close to parity…
