Norman,

The point at which I realign the square of nine has
nothing to do with
the square at all.

The points are determined by the same algorithm
that I have shown
over and over on charts in which I look at the
highest high and lowest
low over some period of time and when the number of
bars back
to one of them becomes less than the other then a
pivot has been
passed.

Consequently there is ALWAYS A LAG in the point at
which the
realignment is made.  However, when looking at
the periods of time
involved in such studies it is apparent that a few
bars are not going
to kill a trade based on the squares.

Now, there are other aspects which should be
considered when
in a trade and that is the angle at which
(historically) we have
observed changes in trend.  Generally we find
that there is some
minimum number that we should expect and from that
can set
our LOWEST EXPECTATIONS.  Likewise, there is
quite often
a number that seems to define most of the longer
trends and
with that we can set our HIGHEST
EXPECTATIONS.

  Clyde,

How do you tell what is important and what
isn't before the fact so that you can
have some chance of forecasting a change in
trend?  Just at a glance, it reminds
me of the famous response by Emperor Franz-Josef
of Austria when Mozart asked him how he liked his new opera, the
Emporer replied, "too many notes!"  But that also implies that
maybe Pyrapoint is ingenious and maybe
like the Emporer, I just don't get it.

  Regards,

  Norman

If I could take out the commercial stuff easily
    I would do so
but everyone should know that Pyrapoint is
    nothing more than
the Gann Square of Nine regardless of what may
    be said.

Attached are some pictures which might give you
    a clue to
how the Square of Nine can be used.
    Remember, it is not
necessarily the "square" that can be used,
    sometimes just
the price zones are most helpful.

      Have you gone to <A
      href="">www.ensignsoftware.com and looked
at their newsletter?  I believe that there was a letter concerning
pyrapoint.  I have looked at it and found that it can be useful under
certain conditions.  Didn't really do a full study as it doesn't fit
      into my trading parameters.  Ira.

        Bob,
I'm in the same boat as you.  If
anyone does understand how to apply Pyrapoint to a chart and come away
with some useful trading insight I would really appreciate it if they
could share that insight with the group.
