Day in Europe is also close to day in Iraq. Days in Iraq create a lot of
news. Almost everything except basic commodities are trading off war news
right now.

Is it just me or have CBOT bonds and CME currencies made most moves
this week overnight, i.e. during the European business day ? It sure
looks that way.

On the general choppiness side, a similar thing seems to be happening
in European indices (EuroStoxx, SMI, FTSE) - gap opens or sharp moves
on open, then high volatility sideways stuff for the rest of the
day. Quarter-end window dressing and the comnig end of the UK tax
year may have something to do with it, but does anyone have other
ideas ?

Perhaps now is a good time to go short volatility...
