Interesting idea, thanks Jim. Has anyone back tested this in relationship
to other markets such as the QQQ's?

One of the best 'top finding' strategies with VIX is a close below
it's daily Bollinger band - along with the SPX closing above it's own
Bollinger band. This is a rare pattern - and when seen usually indicates a
top is near, sometimes to the day.

If the vix or vxn isn't spiking then the market is stronger, not
weaker
than the masses assume.
