IB is a true direct access broker with memberships and direct lines into all
exchanges. MB uses a correspondent relationship which means an extra step
before your order arrives to a trading platform. IB is a also a market
making firm via TimberHill .. one of the biggest dealers in the world.

Subject: [RT] Interactive Brokers vs MBtrading

Hi,

I wonder if someone would please care to comment on their experience of
IB or MBT? I have opened an account with both and just funded MBT. On
trading the SPY's using isi, I found that even though I got a fill on a
limit order, what happened was that it got filled when the stock was
trending in the opposite direction, and I was not able to cancel the
order in time to stop that fill.

Their software is simple and the customer service excellent but this
problem is expensive. Would appreciate comments from other traders using
these or other brokers.

Thanks and Good Trading,

Kate
