I spent a long time in the computer industry and 
still have some friends there and this is what they are telling me.  
So far in 2003 business activity has been for "bare essentials" while 
government/education business has been pretty good.  However, there has 
been a lot of RFP activity from the corporate world which most likely means 
a bit of a pop if/when the geopolitical uncertainties subside.
 
This is hardly the "proof" you were looking for 
but it is some anecdotal evidence.
