I would recommend for email, TheBat from www.ritlabs.com
The filtering capabilities are great. I do a ton of filtering and I
really have not even gone deep into the capabilities of the program.
I use the Mozilla browser (www.mozilla.org). Some people like the
Opera browser (www.opera.com). I have the 6.0.5 version of Opera and
while it is fast (the fastest browser), I have a couple of web sites I
visit which seem to have compatibility problems with Opera. I do
notice that 7.0 of Opera is out so maybe my issues are now gone. Mozilla
has worked just great.
The Bat and Opera are commercial products, if you like them you will
have to buy a license(opera's free version is annoying). Mozilla is open source.
