Subject: [RT] Leads for employment in NYC?

I have a friend who has been "downsized" in the recent layoffs at
a large high-tech firm. She's interested in moving to NYC to
work for a financially-oriented company.

She has many years of experience working as a programmer and as a
(very good) tech support person for a Fortune 50 company and for
several small startups. She has experience in HP-UX, Solaris,
and DOS (possibly Windows, I'm not sure) using C, C++, Smalltalk,
and other languages.

If you know of any companies in the NYC area that might be
interested in hiring a very sharp person, or if you work with a
company like this and could give her some job-hunting pointers,
please contact me and I'll put you in touch with her.

Thanks,
Gary
