Hi Mark,
thanks for your note which is appreciated, as always. Just for the sake of
clarity, this warning refers to the very obsolete Microsoft VM, not to Sun's
up-to-date one. Rather than installing this Microsoft "update" which is
really a "backdate", I would strongly recommend installing the current Java
VM from the Sun site which is not only up-to-date but also does not suffer
from these security problems.
As you may be aware, Microsoft has long stopped supporting any new versions
of Java in IE.
The latest - and secure - Java VM may be downloaded at
http://java.sun.com/getjava/download.html
