It is easy to overwhelm TS with complex studies. I have some that I
run offline for which it takes 20-40 minutes just to open a single
chart the first time. Obviously, I would not try to run this in real
time. Other ideas that I would like to run would take MUCH longer, and
I don't even try because it is not possible with today's hardware.
Check how long it takes to open your charts. If it is not fast,
perhaps the studies are too complex to run in real time.
Your slowdown problem reminded me of an XP page I saw and thus I
mentioned it in a separate email, referencing
http://www.futurepower.net/microsoft.htm. This article mentions a
slowdown in XP. It does not say it also includes Win2000, but the
common background suggests that it may also occur there too. Just a
thought.
