Sean,
I use Global. They're about average. The executions are through J-Trader
(PATS) and I have no complaints about them. They answer the phone when
you call but you don't get a brainiac on the phone. Every question I've
ever asked they had to say hold on and then ask someone else. I don't ask
very hard questions either.
I would use IB except I'm terrified of not being able to get through to
them in case I lose my connection during a trade.
All in all, Global's about a B-.
As for trending, I've heard the DAX and Eurostoxx are very good vehicles,
but have no personal experience with them.
