If Yahoo gets out of hand, I'll put a pop server on line for us to
use.

has a system like that. If you pay a fee there are no more ads. No
fee you get the ads.

Yahoo isn't going to remove their ads when we use their services free unless, as Clyde suggested, they have a pay plan where the ads are withdrawn. If there is sufficient interest in paying for membership to this list to avoid ads at the bottom of your mails, I'll check into it but it would seem to me that ceasing your scroll at the end of the sender's mail would be easier. :))

I don't mind the ads at all .... if it helps Yahoo and allows us to have the benefits of this wonderful group.... My only wish would be that ads would not print in large areas of black...so wasteful of my laser toner if I print a message.

But the real "principal" here is that someone pays for all the
computer hardware that stores and transmits the information
to our "list".
Yahoo! does that and says they pay for our use of their facilities
by attaching the ads that they do.
There used to be a way of paying them and not having such ads
sent on distributed emails but I don't know if that is true now or
not. The moderator would be the one who had to make such
an arrangement if such exists still.
Simple, accept the use of YAHOO! facilities and look at ads or
quit the list -- no other choice right now.
Clyde
I know, I run a list and have the same problem/reward, however
you look at it.

PS,
How do I, and all ST memebers get rid of the advertisements that are tagging along with our emails?
I don't recall agreeing to, or collecting premium from, all the advertisers that are riding on my email trails.
When I bought my new car, I had them remove the dealership emblem from the vehicle because they were not paying me to drive around with their "sign"on my vehicle.
Just a matter of principal.
