Pisani came on the air shortly after this volatility and highlighted
an announcement from CalPERS saying that they are cutting their
weighting in bonds and raising their weighting in private equity. He
pointed out that private equity does not mean publicly traded
companies. The volatility was probably a result of misinterpretation
of the announcement.
